A challenge for Santa

Another challenge???  Surely living with a brain tumour, teaching full time and having a wife was enough of a challenge without adding to this burden.

Ever in need of a project and goal, I came across the Doitforcharity 5 km Santa Fun Run in Greenwich Park on Sunday 5 December.  Having run the London Marathon for Brain Tumour UK in April, I challenged Matt to the 5 km and in a moment of weakness he let the competitive spirit take over and we signed not only ourselves up but also our good friends and their daughter!

It was on his first training session for the run that Matt had his second tonic clonic seizure.  It was quite possibly the worst situation ever - having an epileptic fit whilst on a moving treadmill...  He has since had a third tonic clonic seizure which resulted in another trip to the doctor and yet another scan - the results of which we are due to get tomorrow.
