Another week over and with it, the start of the sixth month of the year. After the neverending grim days at the start of the year, it seems like the warm sunny days are just flying by.

I think I finally managed to leave work on time one day this week! With May being such a manic month at work, it's been a real challenge to maintain balance at home and work. There's the pressure of deadlines at work coupled with being there for Matt - especially after his fit at school which really shook him. He's got another appointment with the Prof booked for 15 June so hopefully we'll know more after that?

Added to that, 12 - 14 August has tentatively been booked for the 3 Peaks Challenge at work. Now that it's been approved in principle the real hardwork of getting the team together, arranging the logistics and then raising the funds starts. In training for the challenge, Matt, Syra and I set off to do the Deddington loop walk yesterday however halfway round we were set upon by the Duke of Cumberland Pub. Such a welcome sight but two beers later, the walk back wasn't quite so fine. Still, it's all for a good cause!
