Matt's brain surgery

Nearly a year on and unfortunately Matt's health still hasn't improved. He's been off work since January as he was having more and more fits, sometimes several in a day. The fits have changed from grand mal to smaller fits which seem to have the effect of a small stroke - his right side becomes very weak, the right side of his face drops and he has difficulty speaking. After another visit to Prof Cruickshank in which the functional MRI scan showed no obvious changes, it was decided to operate to try and remove possible scar tissue that might be causing the fits.

Matt's op date has finally come through - 26 April. Such a relief to have a date and to have the hope that this op might help Matt but it's also getting rather scary now that it's just a week away.
