Mothers in law

Jenni came to stay last week and rather than the wicked witch, she's been our fairy god mother. She's scrubbed and cleaned and ironed, cooked and cared and best of all, been my drinking buddy!

Matt's had some ups and downs since the high of returning home however he's still stronger than before he went in to hospital - double hard bastard status remains in tact.  Thankfully the chemo still seems to be barely touching Matt with regards to side affects.  He's even had a better social life than me recently with pub lunches, a couple of dog walks in the park and a trip to visit nana in Birmingham.  Apart from his aphasia, the biggest frustration is not being able to sleep through the night.  We've had a couple of mid night feasts and I can confirm that there's absolutely nothing worth watching on TV in the middle of the night!

The week continues with a visit from Occupational Health this morning and then a scan back at the QE Hospital on Sunday.
