Men - drama queens!

So the latest is that, so long as there's a bed, Dad's being flown down to Wellington tomorrow and having angioplasty.  His heart doesn't sound too good as he needs 3 stents putting in.  He's already had a couple so I'm not sure if they're replacing some stents which became blocked again or if there are new blockages.  There's the added complication of his malignant hyperthermia - he's allergic to the general anathesia drugs.  While I'm sleeping in the UK tonight, dad will be being flown down to Wellington and having heart surgery.   Don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight somehow.

The other man in my life, Mr Matthew Chadwick, decided to have a sneaky few sips of beer and a pizza (with cheese) on Friday and then felt decidedly awful all Saturday.  Maybe that's why they advise you not to have alcohol and cheese while you're on chemo?!  At least that's what I'm hoping it was.  Matt's on better form again today and even came down to the park this morning to watch Syra endlessly run after her ball.  There's also the small matter of the England game tonight - another chance to left off steam and rant at the commentators which Matt's looking forward to.

Love you both dearly but really hoping that this week will have a little less drama.
