Chemo round 5

Round 5 has begun.  The accumulation of 5 rounds of chemo has worn Matt down but he's not called a double hard bastard for nothing.  Matt's mojo is back, he's taking Tommy on and we're set to let Tommy know who's boss.

Matt perked up a bit on Sunday so we headed over to Nana's - staying the night there so we didn't have far to travel for Matt's chemo on Monday.  First appointment on Monday was with the Oncologist - just a one and a half hour wait.   Matt reeled off his list of ailments but the Oncologist didn't seem too phased and recommended we continue with the chemo for now and wait and see what Matt's scan next week shows.  We also got Matt's bone density scan results - A OK, no weakening, just trauma to his ribs!  Next stop ward 621 for chemo.  Thankfully the chemo drugs were there but his blood results hadn't been sent through from the Hornton Hospital...  After a few phone calls we were able to sort it and in record time - under and hour - we were out of the chemo ward.

The nausea kicked in pretty much straight away this time, however not bad enough to stop my man from eating.  There's still pleasure in life!
