Birthday decadence

02 November.  Jenni's birthday.  Champagne breakfast, girls day out - lunch & spa treatments, followed up by some drinks at home.

Well, the day started off promisingly enough with a sleep in, champagne breakfast - Matt even getting up to join the breakfast - and leaving the house to head down to Beaconsfield just 10 mins late.

Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield
I'd booked the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield for lunch.  We made it - more or less, but couldn't find the Crazy Bear!  By chance we saw a chef who confirmed we were in the right place and that there were no signs saying Crazy Bear!!!  We finally found the big, oversized wooden doors and found Brenda waiting for us inside.  The decor is incredible - you've got to see it to believe it.

We had our leisurely lunch and then headed off to cousin Anna's spa, Lavender & Stone where we were treated and pampered and had months of stress massaged out of us.  Pure heaven and so needed. We just about floated out of the salon we were so relaxed.

And that's where the blissful, relaxing day ended.  Poor Jenni must have eaten something dodgy as she then spent the rest of Friday night and most of Saturday vomitting and suffering the effects of food poisoning.
