London Marathon 2013

Three years ago I was pounding the streets of London, raising money for Brain Tumour UK, now The Brain Tumour Charity.  Respect to all those who ran the London Marathon 2013, I hope you're revelling in your achievement, it's a fantastic buzz.  So much so, that I've now signed up for two half marathons, the Great North Run and Royal Parks 1/2 marathon, London, all to raise money for Macmillan.  I've also agreed to join Team SBS, a four man team taking on Race the Sun at the end of August.

With these fundraising challenges on the cards, it's time to get serious with the training.  This weekend consisted of a 10 km run on Saturday followed by a 30 km cycle on the bike this morning.  All made enjoyable now the sun is making a guest appearance.  It seems that everywhere I cycle in and around Banbury there are hills, but after talking to a local cyclist, it turns out I've been tackling the baby hills and I need to toughen up and take on the hills on the Banbury - Stratford Road

If anyone wants to show their support for Macmillan, just click on the link which will take you through to my justgiving page.  Macmillan have really supported Matt and me and I couldn't have stayed sane without the support of his two wonderful Macmillan nurses.  I just hope everyone faced with life living with cancer has as wonderful Macmillan nurses as we do.
