Run Jericho - GNR training run

It was a struggle. There was heavy breathing.  There was ice cream!

Sunday morning - and I mean morning - as in running to the train station to catch the 07.55 train to Oxford only to discover that there aren't any trains before 0900 on a Sunday!  Anyway, Sunday morning was Run Jericho, a lovely wee community run around Jericho through Port Meadow to Wolvercote and back to Jericho again - roughly 10 km.

I'm proud to say I made it round - 8th women back - in 50 mins and 45 seconds.  Not bad considering the longest I've run in the past 4 weeks has been a gentle 5 km run along the canal with Syra.  Now it's time to put in the serious training for Race the Sun, The Great North Run and The Royal Parks half marathon.
