Penny Brohn, Living Well With Cancer

I was fortunate enough to participate in the Living Well with Cancer two day residential course at Penny Brohn UK, just out of Bristol this week.  What a priviledge and I'm forever grateful to Elli & Abi Chapman for letting me know about it.

What was the Living Well with Cancer course all about?  Well, for me it was the opportunity to meet and form friendships with other cancer patients, to openly share and learn from each other's (sometimes brutal and heartbreaking) experiences, to have the time and space to relax and to learn how to destress through meditation and mindfulness.

Penny Brohn is an amazing charity that provides a range of courses for free (donations welcome) to help people cope with the life changing realities of a cancer diagnosis.  They run courses in various locations throughout the UK but if you're able to get to their national centre in Pill, just out of Bristol, then do.  It's a safe and peaceful haven, with stunning gardens that lift your spirit and the staff are ever so welcoming you won't want to leave.  I'm already looking forward to the next course, The Approach which I'm hoping to do in October.
