Cycle 6 - the last of the chemo

Chemo over!  All 6 cycles of chemo, all according to the three weekly schedule.  What a relief I don't have to have any more chemo, at least for a while.

It was a busy day yesterday, counselling, then physio, then chemo, all at Guy's Cancer Centre.  Yesterday was the first time they used my Portacath.  I wasn't too sure what to expect but it was a simple process - a yellow needle in the Portacath in my chest, cover it up and pump me full of drugs!

For my last chemo cycle, my mum and sister Rachel are over to look after me in the weeks following treatment and to celebrate the success of the treatment.  However, it's only the Docetaxel chemo drug that will stop, I still need to have Pertuzumab, Trastuzumab and Zoledronic Acid every three weeks.

I don't know what it took me so long to discover the hidden joys of the purple chair, but check out this video of all the fun you can have with a remote control - until you get told off by the staff that is!!!
