Merry Christmas!

Christmas dinner

Christmas this year was extra special as it marked the end of a year of treatment - chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy.  Not only did I prove I have double hard bastard in me but I'm now looking ahead to next year, something I wasn't too sure about earlier in the year.

This year, family has come to me.  Sister Rachel and nephew Theo arrived at the beginning of December.  Then my brother (the one living in the States) arrived on Saturday.  The four of us are currently camping in my tiny one bed flat - it's certainly cosy!  Unfortunately my cold has lingered so I've spent most of the past week in my pj's, watching the Die Hard series and other festive films, but hey, that's what Christmas is all about isn't it?!

Today, my brother (the one living back in NZ), his wife and three kids, well young adults, arrive!  It's quite exciting as my nieces and nephews haven't been to England before and my brother and his wife haven't been since their honeymoon.  I've got lots of sightseeing planned to do with them - London is so pretty this time of year.
